The relationship that the humans have with animals has been an interesting issue for me for a long time. 

 

The need for taking care of another being and sharing your life with them is something that goes back a long way in history.

 

Since I was a very young girl I have always had soft toy animals to take care of, take for a walk, build up a zoo and talk to at night. 

 

The importance of these kind of relationships with something material but at the same time imaginary has always been very obvious to me and that is why I have wanted to make this series of works. To remind us of this need of protection and the necessity to love something, to have a friend.
